Nick Suzuki equals the record of a former beloved captain in Montreal
Nick Suzuki is the captain and the most productive player for the Canadiens in the last two seasons. He will likely continue to be this year, with Cole Caufield closely following.
It's incredible what Marc Bergevin accomplished in that trade, especially considering Max Pacioretty was eventually dealt to the Hurricanes a few years later.
While Suzuki can score goals, he is more renowned for his playmaking abilities. He is very creative on the ice, and he has just joined the ranks of the legendary Saku Koivu in an impressive category.
The current captain, tied with the former number 11, becomes the 7th player with the most assists before the age of 25 in the team's history.
He achieved this milestone on Alex Newhook's goal. Suzuki will likely surpass this record, as he turns 25 on August 10 next year.
