Sidney Crosby with the Montreal Canadiens: Shocking announcement
TVA Sports has released an article discussing the possibility of Sidney Crosby finishing his career with the Canadiens or another team.
The rumors originate from Steve Dangle. Here's what he had to say:
"Of all the whispers I've heard over the past three or four years, there's a solid chance that he [Sidney Crosby] might finish his career somewhere other than Pittsburgh, Dangle revealed. Montreal is a team I've heard [about], and joining [Nathan] MacKinnon with Colorado [is another option]."
Although he will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2025, Crosby has played his entire career in Pittsburgh, and the organization is doing everything possible for the core of the last 15 years to win together again.
Indeed, Evgeni Malkin is signed until 2026, and Kris Letang until 2028. Not to mention the acquisition of Erik Karlsson last summer.
With three Stanley Cups to his name, an extraordinary career, and his name forever etched in sports history, Crosby doesn't need to go elsewhere to win. I don't believe a word of it, and for me, he will finish his career in Pittsburgh, even if it means the last years will be more challenging.
However, it must be admitted that it would be special to see him in a Canadiens jersey or alongside Nathan MacKinnon!
