Surprise: Canadiens' line combinations revealed, and Joshua Roy's position sparks a lot of discussion
Came as a big surprise on Friday night when we learned that Joshua Roy had been recalled by the Canadiens, and on Saturday morning, the team announced the injury to Josh Anderson.
It will be Josh's first career game in Montreal, and for the occasion, he will have a crucial role to play. Roy will be placed on the second line alongside Sean Monahan and Joel Armia.
Martin St-Louis has positioned him on a line with an offensive role, teaming him up with two players he knows well. Roy and Monahan were regularly paired in the preseason, and Armia was his teammate with the Rocket.
It's still very surprising to note, given that Roy played on Friday night, he hasn't had much time to practice with the Habs, and above all, he will play his first career game.
Being on the Canadiens' second line in his debut on a Saturday night at the Bell Centre against Connor McDavid, that must be incredible for the kid.
