Surprise announcement concerning Juraj Slafkovsky, and Montreal Canadiens fans are surprised
The Canadiens made four selections in the first two rounds of the 2022 NHL Draft. If we were to redo the experience today, three of them would hold the same position or even better.
Juraj Slafkovsky was chosen first overall, and to the great surprise, he would still be the first overall today. This is mentioned in an article by The Athletic, while Lane Hudson and Owen Beck would now be first-round picks.
The only player who would slip in the rankings is Filip Mesar, who was selected 26th overall.
As for Slafkovsky, many still believe he is the player with the most potential. This is surprising, especially when you look at the performance of Logan Cooley, who remains in the 3rd position.
With the selections of Owen Beck and Lane Hudson in the 2nd round, the Canadiens made two big moves.
