The Montreal Canadiens and Kent Hughes avoided the worst this summer in the case of forward Pierre-Luc Dubois
A topic that has been hot for a very long time is that of Pierre-Luc Dubois. The forward has been linked to the Canadiens for years, but he ultimately signed with the Los Angeles Kings.
The Kings paid a high price to acquire him, especially in terms of salary, with an eight-year deal at $8.5 million per year. At the moment, it can be said that they may regret this decision.
Dubois is inconsistent, and he doesn't always give the effort he should on the ice. It's starting to become frustrating for Kings fans, but this is nothing new. It's a trend that the Quebecois player has accustomed his last two teams to.
"The hesitant and uninvolved version of Dubois is what the Kings have seen too often this season."
- via Helene Elliott, Los Angeles journalist
Let's hope for the Kings that Dubois will wake up because otherwise, they will regret it for a long time.
