Upcoming transactions involving three players with significant value with the Montreal Canadiens, who are veterans
Starting the season with a 3-1-1 record after 5 games is certainly a positive outcome. The Canadiens have had a good start despite repeated penalties and ongoing injuries plaguing the team.
Three players, in particular, have contributed significantly to this success: Sean Monahan, Tanner Pearson, and Jake Allen. With a 2-0-1 record, Allen has been the key factor in the team's recent victories.
Sean Monahan, when healthy, is undoubtedly a valuable hockey player. He's a player who recorded 82 points in 2019 and has 484 points in his career. It's worth noting that he recently turned 29 years old.
Tanner Pearson was initially viewed as a burden before his arrival in Montreal, but he has proven to be quite the opposite, performing well with three goals and four points.
If these three players continue to perform at this level, their value will be high approaching the trade deadline, and General Manager Kent Hughes will likely receive a lot of interest.
Personally, I would keep Monahan and try to sign him to a medium-term contract. The Canadiens, like any young team, need quality veterans to progress, and number 91 fulfills that role excellently.
Now, despite the team's recent run of bad luck over the past two years, the hope is that they remain injury-free until March.
"Sean Monahan has 5 points in 5 games, while Tanner Pearson has 4 points in 5 games. If both can stay healthy until the trade deadline (I know, the odds are slim!), KH will once again look like a genius!"
