A forward joins the Canadiens' organization and signs a contract
Kent Hughes and John Sedgwick have a lot of work ahead to improve the Canadiens and the Rocket, especially in terms of offense.
While the defense prospects look promising, the forward prospects have shown improvement in the last draft, but no immediate help is planned for the two clubs.
The Rocket has announced the signing of Alex Beaucage, a forward who has previously been linked to the Canadiens.
"Rocket agree to terms on a one-year, one-way AHL contract with forward Alex Beaucage." - Laval Rocket
It's a one-way contract, so Kent Hughes will have to sign him if he hopes to recall him during the season, similar to what he did with Brandon Gignac last year.
Congratulations, Alex, on this signing!
Hailing from Trois-Rivières, Beaucage had a successful junior career, notably winning with the Victoriaville Tigres in 2021 in the QMJHL.
He now has the opportunity to impress at camp and during the season, and who knows, perhaps earn a two-way contract.
