A monstrous center for the Canadiens thanks to the Jets?
Kent Hughes has some big decisions to make this summer, but in the short term, the draft takes precedence.
The general manager needs to improve the offense and try to unload dead weight at the same time, which is no easy task.
By dead weight, we're talking about players like Christian Dvorak, Jesse Ylonen, Josh Anderson, and so on.
Hughes is trying to acquire a top 6 forward, and it would make sense to think that the Jets' pick acquired in the Sean Monahan trade, 26th overall, could be on the table.
However, it's still possible that the Canadiens decide to keep this pick, and one of their favorites is now known.
"The Habs 'teased and tested' Dean Letourneau a lot in the interview, the young man told me.
'My agent said teams do that when they really like you,' Letourneau said with a smile.
By the way, this guy is extremely nice and charismatic." - Anthony Martineau We're talking about a 6'7" and 215 lbs center who racked up 127 points in 56 games in U18 AAA. He will play next year in the NCAA with Boston College, alongside Jacob Fowler.
One thing is for sure, I'm very excited to see what Kent Hughes will do in terms of trades and draft selections!
