Disaster for the Montreal Canadiens: Another forward injured, and this time it's Joshua Roy
The last thing the Canadiens need right now is an injury to a forward. Not only is the depth minimal, but there are only two possible recalls from Laval.
Unfortunately, it happened last night, and it's young Joshua Roy who is sidelined. He even returned to Montreal, so at the very least, his trip out West is over.
"Joshua Roy injured and back in Montreal for further examination. Indefinite absence.
He blocked a shot with his right hand last night against the Oilers.
He had X-rays last night, but more extensive tests are needed." - Patrick Friolet, RDS
We never like to see a player get injured, but when it's a young player in full bloom, it's even worse.
Roy, 20, was becoming a key piece of the second line with his numerous strong performances. It's truly unfortunate, and we hope it's more of a scare than anything serious.
