Finally some quality reinforcement in the Montreal Canadiens' organization, as forward Sean Farrell returns with the Rocket
The years go by, and they look the same for the Canadiens and the entire organization. It has now been three consecutive seasons with numerous injuries, not to mention that Shea Weber and Carey Price have both been absent since then as well.
Simply put, there was an NHL record for the Canadiens in the 2022-23 season for the number of games missed, and Carey's 82 games didn't even need to be counted. That's quite an accomplishment!
For the Rocket, it's not much better. At the moment, key players are absent, forcing Kent Hughes to place Brandon Gignac on waivers, perhaps prematurely.
Good news for them, as Sean Farrell is back after missing the last 19 games.
"Confirmed return for Sean Farrell, who has missed the last 19 games for his team. We will have to wait for Jan Mysak and Mattias Norlinder, who have not been given the green light. The Rocket's intention is to use Brandon Gignac tonight if he clears waivers." - Anthony Marcotte Obviously, as of writing these lines, we know that Gignac has not been claimed, and he will be playing on the same line as Farrell. The helping hand comes just at the right time as the Rocket begins its push for a playoff spot.
