Important addition made by Kent Hughes: a surprising forward is coming to Montreal
The Canadiens held their rookie camp last week, and one name stood out among Kent Hughes's invitees.
Indeed, young Charles Savoie was impressive and managed to make a mark during the rookie camp, earning an official invitation to the main camp of the CH.
Of course, Charles Savoie is aiming for a contract with the Laval Rocket, and he could very well achieve that if he continues to impress. It would be quite a victory for him.
The 21-year-old forward was coached by Patrick Roy, winning the Memorial Cup with the Remparts in 2023. Last year, he recorded 45 points in 60 games split between the Remparts and the Océanic in the QMJHL.
He will definitely be one to watch in the coming days. If he manages to play a preseason game, it will already be a significant achievement.
