Last year, Kirby Dach had to miss 80 games due to a knee injury, followed by a major surgery that requires a long rehabilitation time.

According to his own words, Kirby Dach could have returned to play before the end of the season, but the risk wasn't worth taking, and the doctors refused to give him the green light.

That's probably why they allowed him to travel with the team at the end of the season, to give him a little something, since he couldn't get back to action.

That's now over and behind him, but it hasn't been easy. Moreover, in the Canadiens' new series titled "The Rebuild: Inside the Montreal Canadiens", the third episode provided details about this scary injury.

We can agree that the Canadiens' season would have been very different with Kirby Dach healthy. In the episode, we learn that as soon as the injury happened, Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes were immediately very worried.

However, it took a long time for the organization to provide a verdict on Kirby Dach's health status, but the management knew.

Not only were the details of the injury discussed, but also the emotional and strategic side throughout the season. It's difficult for the injured player, but it's also tough for the team that loses more often than expected.

We'd like to remind you that the episodes are available on Crave and nowhere else.
