Ivan Demidov and Matvei Michkov with the Canadiens? Daniel Brière will have work to do with Kent Hughes
The Canadiens selected David Reinbacher in 2023 and passed on Matvei Michkov, but they made up for it by picking Ivan Demidov in 2024.
It's pretty clear that the young prodigy with the Canadiens will be a special player in the NHL, and even his fellow countryman with the Flyers thinks so.
Matvei Michkov on Ivan Demidov:
«He's a good guy who can do everything on the ice. It's just a shame he's not a Flyers player!»
Matvei Michkov also mentioned to RMNB that he really wanted to play with Ivan Demidov, but it wasn't possible at the moment.
Will Daniel Brière and Kent Hughes end up discussing a future involving both players? It's impossible to predict, but it seems these two really like each other.
Matvei Michkov will start his NHL career this year, while Ivan Demidov will begin next year. They will be electrifying players in the coming years.
If the Canadiens can indeed acquire Matvei Michkov and he lives up to his promise, imagine the duo they could form in Montreal!
