Kent Hughes just made a major hire and a new coach joins the organization
There were rumors this morning as a new face was seen on the ice in Brossard for the Canadiens' development camp.
No official announcement had been made yet, but let's remember that there are head coach and assistant positions to be filled with the Rocket, and Kent Hughes / John Sedgwick need to find someone quickly.
Additionally, there is a position to fill with the Canadiens since Alex Burrows left his role as an assistant to Martin St-Louis.
For the Canadiens, the perfect candidate would undoubtedly be Guy Boucher, who held the same role as a power play specialist with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
He would certainly bring important experience and expertise to St-Louis' relatively inexperienced coaching staff.
For the Rocket, there are names circulating, but now one has been confirmed.
Jacob had left his position with the Syracuse Crunch a few days ago, so it made sense for him to be hired by the Canadiens' organization.
