On September 19, Kent Hughes made a transaction to part ways with one of the four goalkeepers, bringing Tanner Pearson to Montreal in the process.

Alongside Sean Monahan at the beginning of the season, the forward was performing well, consistently scoring goals to the point where it was believed he could have significant value on the market.

However, injuries occurred, and everyone came back down to earth as his surprising production came to an end. It's worth noting that Monahan was a significant factor for him, along with Brendan Gallagher.

As of today, there is hardly any talk about him, and he is not even in trade rumors. Pierre LeBrun sought to set the record straight.

According to the informant, Pearson is not at the top of teams' lists, but he is there. With numerous teams vying for a playoff spot and considering the potentially low cost, it's quite possible that he could be traded.

Having accumulated 10 points, including 4 goals in 36 games, it's important not to forget that Pearson has won two Stanley Cups with the Kings and is a positive presence in the locker room. For a young team in need of leadership, like the Devils, for example, he could be valuable.
