Kent Hughes' target would be revealed and it promises to be powerful
The Montreal Canadiens have a chance to finish in the top 5 for the upcoming draft, which means they could select a player of high quality.
This year, it won't be a defenseman, according to almost everyone. The team needs more offensive power, which is no secret to anyone.
Journalist Mathias Brunet also shares this view, and he even revealed the identity of the player the organization would target.
"I feel like Cayden Lindstrom, at 6'4" and 210 pounds, is really a power forward. I think if Lindstrom is available in the 5th, 6th, or 7th spot, it will be him. That is the profile the Canadiens are looking for." Lindstrom is seen as the 3rd best prospect in North America, but be cautious. His season is over due to an injury, so he could drop in the rankings.
Additionally, there are excellent Europeans who should be ranked ahead of him. Therefore, the Canadiens have real chances to draft him, especially since they have officially secured the 5th best lottery ticket thanks to the Coyotes' win on Wednesday night.
