Lane Hutson will start the season in Montreal and here's why

This is exactly what needs to be done when you have a profile like Lane Hutson. He is a defenseman who likes to take risks, which results in spectacular hockey, but also a high degree of mistakes.
In a sequence from Sunday's game against the Leafs' rookies, number 48 made some very nice moves but tried to do too much and lost the puck, leading to a turnover.
He got back to skating, intercepted the puck himself, and immediately relaunched the attack, creating a scoring chance.
In my opinion, Lane Hutson not only shows that he has the skills to play in the NHL, but he also shows that he is young, will make mistakes, and will work hard to correct them.
