Live surprise from Brossard: Patrik Laine is in uniform for the first time on skates
On Sunday, Patrik Laine and his girlfriend, Jordan Leigh, visited the Bell Centre for the first time as locals rather than visitors.
The Finnish player seemed very excited, even impressed by what he saw, and he wasted no time lacing up his skates and wearing his new practice uniform.
Indeed, there was an informal practice at the CN Sports Complex this morning, and we got to see the first images of Patrik Laine in Bleu-Blanc-Rouge.
If he looks nonchalant, that's consistent with his personality. Nick Suzuki was often described the same way, and he is the team's best player.
It's very encouraging to see him already hitting the ice, especially with training camp starting in over 20 days. It sets a positive tone for what's to come.
I really feel that Patrik Laine is in Montreal by choice and that he will be very good. If he stays healthy, he will likely be one of the top point-getters and possibly the best goal scorer in the organization.
