Major: Kaiden Guhle came within a hair's breadth of passing away and we have the details
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle narrowly escaped death and he detailed exactly how it happened.
Indeed, in the upcoming documentary about the team's rebuilding process, Guhle recounts a terrifying experience where he feared for his life.
Marco Normandin from Habsolument Fan was present at the media screening, and during a segment of the first episode, it was noted that the top of his car window was shattered.
This is where Kaiden Guhle agreed to explain what happened:
"While driving with his window open a few inches, he claims to have had a large rock hit the top of his window, which immediately shattered.
[...] He realizes while recounting the story that if his window had been rolled down even just one or two inches more, he could have potentially received that rock right in the head, which could have had severe consequences, even possibly fatal."
It was a close call! If his car window had been rolled down just an inch, he might not be here today. Fortunately, the damage was only material, but what a scare!
Kaiden Guhle will begin the final year of his entry-level contract this season and start his new six-year deal the following year. He is often thought to have been around longer due to his veteran presence on the ice.
He is undoubtedly a key piece of the team for many years to come.
