Indeed, in every sentence, you can sense the passion that drives him and his desire to teach. He truly belongs in his role as coach, and we are lucky to have him.
Unfortunately, he is being criticized for something ridiculous, and it is becoming increasingly unacceptable. Martin St-Louis regularly turns to Chantal Machabée during press conferences when he wants to find the right word in French, which is commendable.
Yes, Martin was born in Montreal, but like all other Francophone coaches, he uses English words in his vocabulary. Other coaches just say the word in English, but he asks Chantal to make sure he says it in French.
I completely agree with that, and as mentioned above, I commend him for at least trying and asking Chantal for help.
Unfortunately, there are several people who think he should speak better French, and I find that absurd.
