Martin St-Louis: Nick Suzuki comments and behaves like a true captain
The wave of love that Martin St-Louis and his family have received over the past two days is simply incredible. Many of you are wishing them the best, and it's truly heartwarming to see.
Internally, it's not much different. The players and all the staff of the Montreal Canadiens are standing with him during this difficult time.
The players faced the media on Monday, and I can tell you they stood tall in front of the cameras. Martin must be proud!
Captain Nick Suzuki also commented on the situation, reassuring everyone like a true leader knows how to do:
"Nick Suzuki on Trevor Letowski filling in for MSL: "it's not too different on the bench or in the game; Marty & Trev were always talking about lines so it's not like Trev has never done it before. He's been a head coach a long time & knows how to run a bench..."
- Via Priyanta Emrith
Obviously, even though Letowski is also behind the bench at every game, there are certainly some small differences in coaching, but Nick wanted to reassure everyone, including Letowski.
What we've seen are determined players who won't give up and who will go to war for their coach. It's really beautiful to see.
