Mitch Marner with the Montreal Canadiens next year?
The Toronto Maple Leafs are once again on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs in the first round. Fans are looking for someone to blame, and they've singled out Mitch Marner.
However, when you look at the player's profile, he's worth the salary he earns both in the regular season and in the playoffs. But fans are starting to understand that it's difficult to win with over 50% of the salary cap tied up in four players.
So, fans want Marner gone, that's clear.

So it remains to be seen, but one thing is certain, Kent Hughes will absolutely need to inquire about the forward if he becomes available from Toronto.
In 576 regular-season games, he has accumulated 639 points, which is far from ordinary. He also has 16 points in his last 15 playoff games. His salary of $10.903 million per year until 2025 is currently a bargain given his performance.
What about you, would you like to have him in Montreal? Who would you give up in exchange?
