Nick Bobrov confirms that a recent acquisition is a home run
When a member of the management team declares an acquisition as a home run, it's very telling, and that's exactly what happened with Nick Bobrov.
The Canadiens' co-director of scouting has never hidden his admiration for Ivan Demidov, even considering his selection as a significant move for the team's future.
Here's what Nick Bobrov said:
"The skills this guy has are incredible. We might be hitting a real major home run."
This is an excerpt from a documentary on the draft, set to be released soon. Other Canadiens executives also had high praise for the young Russian forward.
Shutron said, "He makes me jump out of my seat when I watch him."
Tenute added, "I think he's that elite and that much better than his peers."
Rockstrom noted, "I don't think he'll be available at our pick, but if he is, take him!"
Clearly, this selection is unanimous in Montreal, both among the administration and the fans.
In the 2025-26 season, we will finally see Ivan Demidov skate for the Canadiens, and it could be the start of something special!
