The 4th preseason game for the Canadiens will surely be one to forget for Patrik Laine and David Reinbacher, who had to leave the game due to injury.

In Patrik Laine's case, it's very concerning, as he was practically demolished at the knee by Cédric Paré. The contact was very violent, and his knee bent in the wrong direction.

David Reinbacher also had to leave due to an injury, but it seems to be more minor. We were awaiting news on both players, and the organization has just provided an update.

It's quite simple: neither will return to play tonight. In the case of the Finnish player, this is not surprising, and his season is likely compromised.

As for Reinbacher, I feel that he is being held out more as a precaution than anything else. We are only in preseason games, and he will head to Laval, so they won't take any chances in worsening his injury.

It's really a shame. It seems like bad luck is plaguing the Canadiens' players, who are getting injured one after another. Having a healthy team doesn't seem possible.
