Patrik Laine has just been seriously injured and his season is compromised
Patrik Laine is only in his second preseason game with the Canadiens when he just suffered a serious injury.
The forward was the victim of a knee-on-knee collision, and his leg completely bent in the wrong direction. It looks incredibly painful.
On his way to the locker room, it's clear something is wrong based on his reaction.
No need to remind everyone that Patrik Laine has been through a lot. He played only 18 games last season due to injuries and personal issues.
He was finally ready to turn the page with a new team, in a new city, but fate seems to be against him.
It's really unfortunate. If the injury is as serious as I think, he might have to do like Kirby Dach and miss the entire season.
Let's hope that doesn't happen, but from the way the knee bent, things aren't looking good for Patrik Laine.
