Sean Monahan is still in the Canadiens' locker room
Sean Monahan has physically arrived in Winnipeg. He scored his first goal in a Jets uniform on Saturday night.
However, the Canadiens players haven't forgotten him. His time with the Habs was brief, but for young players like Juraj Slafkovsky, who started with him, it's a significant loss.
So much so that Slaf continues their pre-game handshake ritual, even though the former #91 is no longer there.
We continue to say: Monahan will definitely be welcomed back to Montreal if he chooses to return this summer. He wanted a chance to win a Stanley Cup, and he has it now, but he loved Montreal.
The young players need a veteran like him, and the Canadiens' center position could benefit as well.
