Just three months ago, there were discussions about whether he should go play in Laval, but now it's clear that he belongs on the first line.
Slaf utilizes his size, skates well, is relentless on the forecheck, executes beautiful backchecks, and has started producing over the past 20 games, adding the cherry on top.
He is currently in very good company in the NHL, being part of a list of four wingers across the league who combine two statistics: 35+ hits and 16+ points over the last two months.
It's truly incredible, and despite this significant accomplishment, the most beautiful part of the story is that he continues to work tirelessly, putting in extra time in training with Adam Nicholas and Glen 'Dr. Shot' Tucker.
In short, he keeps getting better with every game. The Canadiens have a truly special player, and we can't even determine where his ceiling is. He's simply a force that is hard to stop.
