The atmosphere was incredible yesterday in the Canadiens' lockeroom after the victory against the Flyers
The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in extremis yesterday, 4-3, at the Wells Fargo Center.
Leading 4-1 until the end of the third period, the Flyers woke up with just more than two minutes left in the game, scoring twice in less than 30 seconds, courtesy of the two Travises, Sanheim and Konecny.
Unfortunately for them, it wasn't enough and Cayden Primeau blocked the next shot, allowing his team to defeat the young Flyers. Moreover, the CH goalie blocked 23 shots, against the favorite team of his childhood.
Clearly, he had put money on the board, and this is not the first time, against Philly, because we could hear him say this to his teammates, after the game:
"I hope you enjoy taking my money" - Cayden Primeau
In this same video, Jake Evans gave a nice speech to name the ace of the game:
"A lot of big blocked shots. But, this guy forced a penalty, blocked a big shot, scored a goal with his shin guard, and made quite the pass." - Jake Evans
So who is this guy? The answer: Brendan Gallagher.
Watch the video right here:
Not bad for a guy who is supposedly "finished" by many experts. In nine games this season, Gally has collected four points.
The Canadiens will not be idle this week
A big week awaits the Montreal Canadiens. First, Martin St. Louis' squad will host the Seattle Kraken tomorrow at the Bell Centre.
On Thursday, Halloween, the CH players will go and get a little scare in Washington to face the Capitals, while the day after that, they will have a date with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
