The replacement for Alex Burrows is officially known from Martin St-Louis' mouth
Alex Burrows's main responsibility was to manage the power play with the Canadiens, and since his departure, there has been uncertainty about who would take on this role.
Recently, the CH announced the hiring of Roger Grillo as a consultant coach to assist Martin St-Louis and the team with the power play.
But who will officially replace Alex Burrows?
Martin St-Louis answered this question this morning, and he will personally take charge of the power play.
In my opinion, this is excellent news for the Canadiens, as Martin St-Louis has always been a specialist in this aspect of the game. He will therefore hold both the head coach role and the power play responsibilities.
This was a possibility raised over the summer, and it is now confirmed. One can say that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have just given a strong vote of confidence to their head coach!
