The Montreal Canadiens sent invitations to two players who were overlooked by the 32 teams last Friday and Saturday. Among the main players of interest, several could impress.
First, there was Jules Boilard. His teammate from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in 2023-2024, 20-year-old veteran Félix Gagnon, was also invited to the Habs' development camp.

Next, there was Justin Larose.
Montreal Canadiens give a chance to forward Justin Larose
Despite his small stature, he will be one to watch at the development camp. He is dynamic, fast, and capable of playing a 200-foot game. He might remind some of Yanni Gourde. Both men have worn the Tigres' colors, it must be said...
Larose, 19, is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound forward.
He racked up a solid 80 points in 67 games this season with the Victoriaville Tigres in the QMJHL, including 38 goals! He won't be the only undersized player pushing the management's hand. He should return to finish his junior career next season. He could surprise in the Courteau circuit, as the Tigres will be one of the forces in the QMJHL along with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
He added 16 points in 14 playoff games. The path to the Habs' uniform will be long, but he could help the Rocket in Laval for two or three seasons while he develops. His journey could resemble that of Xavier Simoneau.
More details to follow.
