Trade between Martin St-Louis' Canadiens and Patrick Roy's Islanders?
The Canadiens are still in search of a top-six forward, and Kent Hughes could very well accomplish that in August, based on recent years.
The Canadiens' GM isn't afraid to make moves while everyone else is on vacation, as he did for Sean Monahan and Michael Matheson, among others.
According to Incarcerated Bob, a New York area host who accurately predicted several Canadiens moves first, including hiring Martin St-Louis and acquiring Alex Newhook, the Canadiens, Rangers, and Patrick Roy's Islanders are all likely to make moves in August.
"League usually slows down after the first week of free agency and picks back up heading into August.. Habs are still searching for scoring and wouldn't be surprised if we see a move before or during camp.
Rangers fans can expect a little trade shakeup, Isles also still shopping." - Incarcerated Bob
So, there's action expected in the coming weeks, and a trade involving the Canadiens, Rangers, or Islanders could very well happen.
