Trade of Florian Xhekaj: the forward is linked to the Los Angeles Kings
Now that rumors about high-caliber players are known, others involving players with less impact are emerging, such as Florian Xhekaj.
Indeed, Arber's younger brother is linked to the Los Angeles Kings, and the return would involve a player who has been connected to the Canadiens for some time.
Florian Xhekaj to Los Angeles for Arthur Kaliyev?
That's what Stanovich in Los Angeles believes. According to him, Florian or Emil Heineman could interest Rob Blake, who doesn't seem to be able to agree with Kaliyev.
It's worth noting that Kaliyev is a restricted free agent and still unsigned for the upcoming season.

Arthur Kaliyev was the 33rd overall pick in 2019, the same draft year as Cole Caufield, Kirby Dach, and Alex Newhook. He had a very impressive junior career in the QMJHL, so he's familiar with Quebec and the Canadiens.
Personally, I really like Florian Xhekaj. I appreciate that he's as tough as his brother while being able to contribute offensively. We haven't seen everything this young man can do yet.
As for Emil Heineman, I would be willing to sacrifice him for Kaliyev. The Canadiens would likely be able to find a similar player much more easily if needed.
