Unexpected press conference from the Montreal Canadiens and Martin St-Louis receives praise from Stéphane Robidas
The coaches of the Montreal Canadiens have been taking turns handling press conferences since Martin St-Louis's departure. On Saturday, it was Stéphane Robidas's turn, and he had nothing but praise for Martin St-Louis.
Naturally, the defensive coach was asked about the upcoming talent, especially after David Reinbacher and Logan Mailloux stood out with the equalizing and winning goals on Friday night.
He had good words for both young players.
"I saw David's goal and I saw Logan's goal, and they were both very nice goals, so it's encouraging, for sure, and it's nice to see that coming."
It must indeed be encouraging to see what lies ahead for the Canadiens' defense. Robidas will be able to work with solid, talented young players.
These young players will also be part of the exceptional culture that Martin St-Louis has instilled in the team. Like Trevor Letowski and Alex Burrows before him, he praised Martin's work in this regard.
Even though the head coach is not currently with the Canadiens, it's evident that everyone continues to believe in the system, and the atmosphere in the locker room is very positive.
I am personally very happy to hear this, especially since we don't often get to hear Stéphane Robidas's remarks. The coming years look very promising for the Canadiens.
