The sky is falling on Patrick Roy because of the Canadiens
Patrick Roy and his Islanders took a significant step towards securing a playoff spot with their victory over the Canadiens, but it came at a cost.
Their best defenseman, Noah Dobson, was injured on a relatively innocuous play and did not return to the game.
What's even worse is that the organization has announced that he remains injured and will have to miss more time.
The Islanders can confirm their playoff spot tonight, but it will be tough for them if Dobson has to miss the first round. It's hard to see how they could win without him.
For Patrick, this is the worst news he could have received at the worst possible time. Dobson is his best defenseman and potentially his best player, with a tally of 70 points in 79 games this season.
