Return of the Quebec Nordiques: New information surfaces from Adam Proteau
People are unanimous: the return of the Quebec Nordiques would be a great thing for the NHL, and this sentiment is widespread throughout the league.
Indeed, both Canadians and Americans believe that Quebec City deserves a team and has waited long enough.
In recent hours, it has been confirmed that there will be expansion teams in the NHL. Elliotte Friedman received this confirmation from Bill Daly, Gary Bettman's right-hand man.
How can Quebec not be considered when there will be two or four new teams?
According to Adam Proteau, it would be absurd not to give them a team.
"Every time there's talk of NHL expansion, Quebec City is at the center of public discussions.
The city made a bid to get another team at the same time as Vegas, but the NHL's executive committee wasn't convinced and only voted for the Golden Knights. But that hasn't stopped the discussions, and it shouldn't have.
Of all the cities vying for an NHL expansion team, Quebec City arguably has the most suitable infrastructure for the NHL right now and a deep love for the game, although there are still concerns about corporate support, the Canadian dollar, and more."

It must be said: Adam Proteau has no vested interest in promoting the return of the Nordiques. He is simply making a logical argument. He even mentioned that a junior team like the Remparts can fill an NHL arena with fans, which speaks volumes.
It is with declarations like this, coming from all over the NHL, that Gary Bettman might finally see reason. The commissioner still seems to lean toward Atlanta, despite the city having already failed twice. Enough is enough.
