Another strong blow to Shane Wright from the Seattle Kraken

Last week, the Seattle Kraken called up Shane Wright from their minor league team, only to send him back the next day without him playing a single game.

What's strange about all this is that another forward, Tye Kartie, did exactly the opposite, going to the AHL before being called up the next day.

If it was an administrative decision to save a few dollars, it backfired, as Wright is paid more than Kartie. In short, the young man was clearly played by the organization.

As if that wasn't enough, Wright was once again overlooked yesterday. Two forwards, Pierre-Édouard Bellemare and Jared McCann, got injured, and the team had to make an emergency call-up. Eventually, Kole Lind joined the Kraken.

The Kraken's management of the 4th overall pick in the 2022 draft is clearly subpar, at best. Let's hope the young man will be considered a bit more in the months to come because, at the moment, it can't be easy to build confidence, despite his good season in the AHL.
