Brawl at the beginning of the game between the Rangers and the Devils
At the beginning of the Rangers and Devils game, a brawl involving 10 players erupted.
It was the first matchup since Matt Rempe's vicious hit on Jonas Siegenthaler, which resulted in a four-game suspension for the Rangers' colossus.
All players on the ice engaged in the altercation, except for the goalies, and it nearly escalated further.
Even the head coaches seemed eager to join the fray.
It was an unprecedented scene, and eight players were ejected from the game with 19:58 remaining in the 1st period.
