Disturbing scene at the Olympics: a young woman leaves on a stretcher
Athletes work very hard to achieve their ultimate goal of competing in the Olympics, but unfortunately, they sometimes push beyond their limits.
Such was the case with Slovak swimmer Tamara Potocka, who collapsed immediately after exiting the water and required emergency care.

A very worrying moment that quickly spread across the web. We never like to see such scenes.
Out of respect for the 21-year-old woman, we are not including the video in the article, but it is easily found online.
According to the latest news, Potocka is doing well, and the cause of her collapse is known.
"The latest on Slovakian swimmer Tamara Potocka, who collapsed on the pool deck today:
The Slovakian Olympic team has confirmed to Ben Burrows that the cause of the collapse was an asthma attack. She has since been given oxygen therapy and during the procedure has communicated." - Nicole Auerbach
Potocka was competing against, among others, Canadian champion Summer McIntosh.
At least she seems to be in good hands and out of danger. The emergency responders acted quickly, which undoubtedly helped in the circumstances.
