Former Canadien PK Subban is no stranger to controversy, but this one goes way too far in the eyes of many.

Indeed, after hearing this, I believe it has no place on television. Subban is an articulate man with plenty of charisma; he doesn't need to resort to this kind of language to be interesting.

In the past hours, during a segment on ESPN, the former defenseman made some very inappropriate remarks, something that shouldn't be said on television.

The channel was showing a video of Jack Eichel cutting his stick with a saw in the ESPN studios. Subban's comment was very off-color.

"After a segment showing Jack Eichel cutting his stick with a saw, ESPN's studio show saw P.K. Subban say "I'm not a carpenter, but I do carry around a hammer," Steve Levy say "Yes, you do! So I've heard," and Mark Messier just look into the camera."

Internet users are outraged by these kinds of comments, and rightfully so. It's okay to make jokes, even on live TV, but they should be in good taste.

"Hey @espn, you REALLY need to do something about PK Subban YESTERDAY. His comments are sexist, puerile, and just plain idiotic. I admit I'm a lifelong Rangers fan, and I would throw a party if Mess clobbered him with a microphone or something!"

I'll stop there, but the negative comments towards him are numerous, and many are calling for his dismissal.

I personally don't wish for PK to lose his job, but he'll need to ensure he doesn't repeat this error in poor taste if he wants to have a long career in the field.
