Gary Bettman criticizes Martin St-Louis and NHL head coaches
The NHL commissioner, Gary Bettman, is not taking things lightly these days. He has seriously warned NHL head coaches to remain respectful towards referees, and he has finally taken action.
"The NHL is $50,000 richer! (following the very severe fines handed out to the head coaches of Toronto and Buffalo)"
"The message is clear from the NHL: don't make the referees look bad, and if you have something to say, say it privately, or it will cost you!"
"The NHL had told coaches to keep quiet about the referees, and the warning has just been reiterated."

It is known that several players criticize the work of the officials, and coaches sometimes do it in press conferences when asked questions, struggling to contain their emotions.
The League has clearly had enough, and it will cost anyone who decides to criticize the officiating, which is very challenging, considering the increasing speed of the game for everyone.
Do you still believe that coaches should have the right to express their discontent?
