The Laval Rocket, led by Pascal Vincent, is having an excellent start to the season.

In six games, the team is in second place in the North Division, with a record of five wins and one loss.

Alex Barré-Boulet is having an incredible start to the season, with eight points in four games, Joshua Roy is also doing very well with six points in six games. What can we say about Filip Mesar with five points in five games? No one expected that, especially the many Montreal journalists who called him a flop, AT ONLY 20 YEARS OLD.

Even Laval's two goalies, Connor Hughes (1.69/.939) and Jakub Dobes (2.34/.901) are incredible.

It's not rosy for everyone

However, there is an elephant in the room. He's more of a baby elephant, but he's there. He's performed like never before at the university level (81 points in 58 NCAA games with Harvard) and on the international stage. Having signed an entry-level contract with the Montreal Canadiens at the end of the 2022-23 season, hopes were very high for Sean Farrell.

Even Pascal Vincent was charmed by the young man during the Canadiens' rookie camp, emphasizing that he was more intelligent than him.

The American did not collect a single point in five games with the Laval team. He was even left out of one game by his coach.

What's going on with him?

It will be interesting to see his progress in the coming days, as he will have to renew his contract at the end of the current campaign.

Aged 22, Farrell was selected 124th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2020 Draft.
