Tony DeAngelo, the former Carolina Hurricanes defenseman, had a message for Quebec hockey fans regarding Ivan Demidov.
As he just mentioned, the Canadiens' first pick in the last draft had quite the evening, while his team, the St. Petersburg SKA, easily defeated the Moscow Vityaz team by a score of 8-1.
Here is also a beautiful play orchestrated by Demidov, DeAngelo and Evgeny Kuznetsov during this meeting.
In the end, Demidov only collected one assist during this meeting but the 18-year-old is having an excellent start to the KHL season with 11 points in 18 games. But what is impressive about all this is that Demidov is sometimes used for three or four minutes by his coach.
It must be said that the St. Petersburg SKA team counts on several talented players, starting with Tony DeAngelo, who seems too strong for the league, having collected 16 points in 10 games.
We also find former Washington Capitals star Evgeny Kuznetsov, as well as other names known to fans, including Nikita Zaitsev and Mikhail Grigorenko.
Let's say that this gives you even more of a taste for following KHL activities to follow the evolution of the young prodigy in the Canadiens organization and that the team's fans are all very eager to see him arrive in Montreal.
