Blockbuster trade announced today involving a goaltender: a major clue leads us to believe so and it comes from Kevin Weekes
There are many insiders in the world of hockey, especially in the NHL. When it comes to scoops on goaltenders, there's no one better than Kevin Weekes.
The former NHL goaltender doesn't overstate things, just enough. He predicts transactions in his own mysterious way, and they usually materialize fairly quickly.
This time, it involves Calgary Flames' goaltender Jacob Markstrom.
Markstrom has been in trade rumors for quite some time. It's known that the Flames have depth in goaltending, and he could certainly help a team in need. He's an established number one goaltender.
It remains to be seen if this will materialize, but based on Weekes' recent posts of this nature, it could be a matter of hours before it's officially announced.
