Trade between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Canadiens to reunite the Suzuki brothers: it would make perfect sense
While the Canadiens are in need of forwards and the Hurricanes are in need of a goaltender, a trade proposal has surfaced and gained popularity.
Nick Suzuki's younger brother, Ryan, is currently with the Carolina Hurricanes. He has been stuck in the AHL for several years, and a change of scenery could be beneficial for him.
As we know, Kent Hughes likes to give young prospects a second chance. Ryan is 22 years old and plays at center, which is a position of need for the Canadiens with injuries to Alex Newhook, Christian Dvorak, and Kirby Dach.
On the other side, the Hurricanes could use a young goaltender like Cayden Primeau. Therefore, a trade involving these two young players is being proposed.
"Habs are a bit thin at center with Dvorak out.
Ryan Suzuki plays center, but is stuck behind Aho-KK-Staal.
Hurricanes need a goalie.
Just sayin'" It would be a very intriguing trade. The Canadiens would then have two sets of brothers: the Xhekajs and the Suzukis. If Kent Hughes could trade Jake Allen to acquire Ryan Suzuki, that would be even better.
