It's very early in training camp to start seeing names on waivers, but as usual, the Vancouver Canucks are doing things differently.

They have placed two players on waivers, and the chances of them being claimed are good, as teams are still looking for talent for their own training camps.

Guillaume Brisebois previously played in the Canadiens organization in 2020-21 and was a former third-round pick, 66th overall in 2015.

Jett Woo is more surprising, as he was a second-round pick in 2018 and had a strong season in the American League last year.

As mentioned earlier, the Vancouver Canucks do things differently. General Manager Patrik Allvin doesn't like to play by the routine. This approach has its pros and cons, such as the departure of former coach Bruce Boudreau, for example.

In my opinion, Jett Woo has a good chance of being claimed, but I would be surprised if Guillaume Brisebois is. The Longueuil native played 9 games with the Rocket and 27 in the NHL.
