Nick Suzuki joins Guy Lafleur in an exclusive club in the history of the Montreal Canadiens
The Canadiens managed to defeat the New York Islanders on Thursday night, but it was a tough battle. Despite a 3-0 lead in the first period, penalties proved costly, and Sean Monahan played the hero late in the game for the victory.
Nick Suzuki was brilliant, especially on the power play in the first period. He scored a goal and an assist, marking his 60th career multi-point game.
"FunFact: with his goal + assist tonight, Habs captain Nick Suzuki became the 7th player in #GoHabsGo history with 60 career multi-point games at age 24 or younger joining Guy Lafleur, Stephane Richer, Henri Richard, Steve Shutt, Bernie Geoffrion and Mario Tremblay."

If he continues at this pace, the captain is on track for a 70-point season for the first time in his career. It might not be outstanding on an NHL scale, but for the Canadiens, he would be the first since Max Domi.
What is remarkable is that he hasn't missed a single game since making his pro debut. We're not talking about a Phil Kessel avoiding all contact here; Suzuki plays a physical game and is never afraid to take or deliver a hit to make a play.
In short, for all these reasons, he thoroughly deserves to be part of this select group, and we sincerely hope he will continue to progress towards a point-per-game pace.
