Emergency recall intriguing from the Montreal Canadiens: the explanations are finally provided
It's a technicality, but the question still arises.
The Canadiens made an emergency recall of Emil Heineman on Friday for Saturday night's game. One might think it's due to Christian Dvorak's injury, but that's not the case.
In fact, Kent Hughes couldn't make an emergency recall for the replacement of a player who will miss the rest of the season. Luc Gélinas explains:
"Assuming that RHP is able to return to the game on Wednesday in Philadelphia, it justifies the curious 'emergency' recall of Heineman. Because it couldn't have been for Dvorak, who is done for the year."
- Luc Gélinas, RDS
So, it's confirmed: RHP will be back very soon, and it's to replace him that the emergency recall of Emil Heineman was made.
Heineman may have just one game to prove to the organization that he deserves to stay, which seems unlikely.
