Major announcement from the Canadiens regarding Arber Xhekaj

The Montreal Canadiens have removed Arber Xhekaj from the injured list. However, there was another piece of news for him.

Indeed, the towering defenseman has been assigned to the Laval Rocket.

This time, it doesn't seem to be just a maneuver to work around a rule. It looks like Jayden Struble is indeed earning his spot on the team.

We will likely see Xhekaj again, as he certainly belongs in the NHL. A stint in the American Hockey League will allow him to get back in shape and await a call from Kent Hughes.
