Logan Mailloux is among the players who could secure a full-time position with the Canadiens this season, and he seems ready to prove it.

Last year, he greatly impressed during training camp but was cut at the last minute to learn to become a true professional in Laval.

A year of progression that has been very beneficial for him, and it might continue according to several NHL scouts.

Indeed, according to Renaud Lavoie, many hockey insiders do not believe in Logan Mailloux.

"As reported by Renaud Lavoie this morning on BPM Sports, on the sidelines of his usual column on Le club du matin, scouts across the league don't seem to believe in [Logan Mailloux]." - Brisebois

The young player has everything to achieve success in the NHL. The size, the fluidity, the shot, the ruggedness... Logan Mailloux won't just be a good defenseman; he will be an all-star player, but once again, he has his detractors.

"But what I wonder is whether these comments are hiding something else. Are some people using his skating as an excuse because they don't think Mailloux has what it takes to succeed in a market like Montreal?" - Brisebois

What I hope the most is that his detractors aren't hiding behind the controversy that hit him before the draft. We're past that now, and the man has matured greatly since then.
