Marc Bergevin and Trevor Timmins faced challenges during their tenure with the Canadiens, especially in regard to drafting, but they made some excellent moves.

Just before being dismissed by Geoff Molson, the duo orchestrated what is seen as the steal of the 2021 draft with the selection of Joshua Roy' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Joshua Roy.

According to prospects expert Scott Wheeler, Joshua Roy, picked 150th overall, would now be considered the 18th best prospect today.

Logan Mailloux has also gained ground, now projected as the 21st pick if the draft were to be redone today.

"Joshua Roy is 18th and Logan Mailloux is 21st in this 2021 'redraft'. Not a bad last draft from the former regime! (Not to mention Oliver Kapanen and William Trudeau)" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

It's a tremendous gift for the organization to turn a 5th-round pick into a potential first-round talent.

As Marc-Olivier Beaudoin highlights, Oliver Kapanen shouldn't be overlooked either, showing promise for a successful NHL career, particularly excelling in puck retrieval around the net.

Regarding Joshua Roy, I believe he's earned his spot in the lineup. The upcoming training camp will be crucial for him, but I have no doubt he'll be in the Canadiens' top 9 for the season opener.
